Sometimes you want to use AI capabilities to help you generate items based on other existing items in the system.
For example, you have some high-level ideas that you want to be transformed into requirements, or you have an existing requirement and you want AI to help you generate a test case for it.
All you have to do is open the AI chat and ask it to generate an item of the desired type based on the content of your choosing. This will generate a potential item with all the attributes filled with information.
This will work best if you already have an item type defined and AI instructions filled for each attribute, helping the AI to follow specific rules if needed.
If you are happy with the result you can transform it into an actual item by using the checkmark button, which will add it at the end of the current document view.
If adjustments need to be made you can refine the response like with any other AI-generated result.
Changing item types
AI can also help you switch types for a given item. For example, you can change an original Requirement to a Test Case. All you have to do is use the switch at the top of the item details, and the AI will try to prefill all the new attributes with the correct information from the old type.
