A saved filter is a named set of item filters that you can reopen at any time. It always shows the items that match right now, across the whole organization, so it works as a live list: "all open requirements assigned to me", "test cases with no trace to a requirement", and so on.
To find your saved filters, expand Analysis in the left sidebar and click Saved filters. The page lists each filter with its name, favorite star, Public or Private tag and creation date. Search by name, or click New filter view to create one.
Creating a saved filter
Click New filter view. The filter picker opens straight away.
Add one or more filters. Every filter from the table view is available, including Descendants of, Item ID and Has traces. Filters combine with and. See Table view for what each filter does.
The table below fills with the matching items. Use the text search box to narrow it further, the eye button to show or hide columns, and the column headers to sort.
Click Save filters in the page header, type a name and press Enter.
The filter is saved and the page moves to its own address, which you can bookmark. The table shows up to 5,000 items; a warning appears if the limit is hit, so add filters to narrow the set.
Updating a saved filter
Open a saved filter and change its filters. Save filters now shows a dropdown with two choices:
Update current view - overwrite the saved filter with the current filters.
Save as new filter view - keep the original and save the current filters under a new name.
If you navigate away with unsaved changes, a dialog asks whether to Discard them or save first.
Working with the items
The saved filter page is a full items table. Click an item's ID to open it in the details sidebar, edit values in the cells, and tick rows to use the Actions button for bulk changes such as tracing, changing type, adding to a baseline or deleting. Deleting from here removes only the ticked rows, never their unticked children.
Sharing a filter by link
The filters on the New filter view page are encoded in the page address. Copy the address from your browser and send it to a colleague: opening it recreates the same filters without saving anything. When the AI chat lists items for you, its Expand results button opens exactly this kind of link.
Exporting
Click the ... button on a saved filter in the list or in the sidebar tree, then hover Export and choose (the same formats as exporting items):
Export to .xlsx - a spreadsheet with one row per item and one column per attribute.
Export to .docx - the matching items as a document.
The export runs in the background and downloads when it is ready. You can follow its progress under Agentic processes on the dashboard.
Favorites, visibility, renaming and deleting
The same ... menu lets you:
Favorite or Remove favorite - favorites show a star and are listed first when you pick a filter for a dashboard panel.
Make public or Make private - a public filter is listed for everyone in the organization; a private one is only visible to you. Only the creator can change this.
Rename the filter.
Delete it. Deleting cannot be undone; dashboard panels that used the filter keep working but show the raw filter instead of its name.
Using saved filters in dashboards
Custom dashboards are built from table panels, and each panel is backed by a saved filter. Create the filter here first, then add a panel on the dashboard and pick the filter. The panel always shows the current matches. See Dashboard for the steps.
