Table view shows an item and everything below it as a flat table, one row per item and one column per attribute. Use it when you want to see many items at once, filter them, edit values quickly or act on several items together.
Open any item and click the View as table button in the page header. See View modes for the other views.
Filtering
Click Filter above the table to open the filter picker. Type to search the list, or type a value straight away, for example a picklist value or a colleague's name, and pick the match to add the filter with that value already set. The picker offers:
Dropdown attribute, Number attribute, True/False attribute, User list attribute and Date attribute - filter on any attribute of those types that the items in the table have. Only the types that the items actually use are listed.
Item Type - one or more item types, or No Type.
Created By and Edited By - who created or last edited the item.
Created and Last Modified - when.
Deleted item - show deleted items, only live items, or both.
Has attribute - items that have a given attribute at all.
Has traces - items with, or without, a trace of a given type and direction.
Each filter becomes a chip made of segments: click a segment to change it. The middle segment is the connector, and it depends on the filter:
Lists such as picklists, users and item types offer is / is not, which become is any of / is none of when you pick several values. Choose No value to match items where the attribute is empty.
Numbers offer >, >=, <, <=, = and !=.
Booleans offer is true / is false.
Dates offer before, on or before, after, on or after and within. within takes a relative range such as Last 7 days, Last 6 months or 30 days from now, so the filter stays correct as time passes.
Deleted item offers is, is not and is or is not deleted.
Has traces reads Item [relation] any item or no item, for example Item is verified by no item to find requirements without a test case.
All filters combine with and. Remove a filter with the cross on its chip. The search box at the right of the toolbar filters the rows by text on top of the other filters. The table shows up to 5,000 items and warns you when that limit is hit.
Choosing and arranging columns
Click the eye button (Show/hide columns) to open Show in table and switch columns on or off; a badge on the button counts the hidden columns. Drag a column header to change the order, and drag the edge of a header to resize it. Your column choices, order, widths and sort are remembered per table.
Sorting
Hover a column header and click its sort arrow. The first click sorts ascending, the second descending, and the third clears the sort.
Editing values in the table
Click any attribute cell to edit it in place; changes save as you go. If an item does not have that attribute yet, the cell shows an add button that adds it to the item first.
To set the same value on many items, tick their rows, then click the pencil that appears in the column header (Edit value for selected rows). This works for picklist, number, boolean, date and userlist attributes.
Bulk actions
Tick one or more rows, or the checkbox in the header to select all, and click Actions. The menu holds the same entries as an item's ... menu, limited to what applies to the selection; every entry is described in Item actions. Deleting from the table only deletes the rows you ticked, never children hidden by a filter.
Exporting
Click the gear icon in the page header and hover Export to export the open item and all of its children to .docx, .xlsx or .reqif. See Exporting items.
Click an item's ID to open it in the item details sidebar. To keep a filtered table for later, see Saved filters.
