The right sidebar holds everything about one item that is not its text: metadata, attributes, traces, comments, reviews, test runs, history and quality checks.
Open it in any of these ways:
Click an item in document view.
Open the item's ... menu and choose Open details.
In table view, click the item's ID.
Open the item in Single item view, where the sidebar is always shown.
Drag the sidebar's left edge to resize it. Across the top are the tabs Details, Comments, Reviews and Runs, then a ... button with the item actions, a clock button for History, and a close button.
Details
The top of the tab shows:
ID: the item's short ID.
Quality: a summary of the item's quality checks. Click it to open the Quality screen.
Part of: the baselines, reviews and test runs the item belongs to.
Type: the item type. Pick another type from the dropdown to change it. The AI maps the existing content into the new type's attributes where it finds matching fields; values it cannot place are kept on the item. Choose No type to remove the type without changing the fields.
Created and Last edit: who and when. For an item in a review that has moved on since, Version shows the reviewed version and the newest one.
Attributes
The Attributes list shows every attribute with its value, editable in place. Click + to add an attribute to this item only; the item type decides the default set. Hover an attribute for its actions, such as renaming or deleting it.
Click the eye button (Change view options) to choose which attributes appear in document view for this item. Each attribute has a switch under Visible in document view, and you can drag attributes by their handle to reorder them. The attribute used as the heading is tagged Item heading; Set as item heading on another attribute moves it there. As the banner says, the change applies to the selected item only; go to item types to change the settings globally.
Traced to
The Traced to section lists the item's traces grouped by trace type and direction, including the custom trace types your organization defines. Use Filter traced items to choose which types and directions to show; the filter is remembered for you. When the filter hides traces or missing traces, a note says how many are hidden.
Trace.Space distinguishes parent/child traces, which build the tree, from related and directional traces between any two items. See Traceability for the trace kinds and traceability rules.
To create a trace, click + next to the filter. A new row appears with a Select item search: type to find an item in the tree, or create a new item right there. Then pick the relationship, such as is parent of or a custom trace type in either direction. Parent traces need write access to both items. Read access to both items is enough for any other trace type.
When a traceability rule expects a trace that does not exist, the list shows a **Missing ** row. Hover it and click **Trace to ** to open the missing-trace screen, which suggests matching items, lets you search the tree, or create a new item of the expected type that is traced immediately. Traces that break a rule are marked as invalid, and traces whose other end changed since are marked as suspect.
Below the list, switch Suggested traces on to let AI suggested traces propose items that look related.
External
If the Jira or GitHub integration is enabled, the External section links the item to Jira issues or GitHub pull requests.
Comments
Lists the comment threads on the item. Use Search comments and the All, Open or Resolved dropdown to narrow the list. To start a thread, select text in the item and click Comment. See Commenting.
Reviews
Shows every review the item is part of and the feedback given in each. Switch between Version view and User view to group feedback by item version or by reviewer, and click + to start a new review or add the item to an existing one. A warning appears if the item has changed since it was reviewed.
Runs
For a test case, lists the test runs where it was executed with the run name, date, result and the test case version that was run. Click a run name to open it.
History
Click the clock button to see the item's versions. Click a version to view the item as it was, compare it with the current version, or revert to it. See Item history and versions.
Quality
Click the Quality summary in the Details tab to see the checks grouped by attribute, each marked as passed or failed. Where an attribute has issues, Fix issues with AI proposes a corrected value for you to accept. The cog at the top opens the quality settings of the item's type. See Quality checks.
