When you open an item from the tree, the main area shows that item and everything below it. The circular buttons at the top right of the page switch between views of the same items. Hover a button for its name.
Document view
View as document is the default. Items appear one under the other like a document, with the item's heading attribute rendered as a heading whose level follows the depth in the tree. Use it to read and write content: every text attribute is editable in place, and hovering an item shows its actions and a checkbox. Click the triangle next to a parent to collapse or expand its children.
Table view
View as table shows one row per item and one column per attribute, so you can compare many items at once, sort, filter, and edit cells inline. See Table view for columns and filters.
Graph view
View as graph draws the items as nodes with their traces as edges, so you can expand along traces, filter trace types and spot missing traces. Click a node to open the item's details. See Graph view for reading, expanding and filtering the graph.
Stats view
On a review page the switcher also offers View stats, which summarizes review progress. Baselines and test runs offer document and table views only.
View settings
Click the gear button next to the view switcher (View settings) to open the settings for the current view.
Features
Quality checks turns the inline quality annotations in the editor on or off while you work. See Quality checks.
Parameter suggestions highlights numbers with units in your text and offers to turn them into linked parameters. See Parameters.
Show (document view and single item view)
Item ID shows each item's type icon, short ID and version above its content.
Attribute names labels each attribute shown in the document.
Dividing lines draws a line between items.
The menu also contains Export. See Exporting items.
These settings are saved to your account, so they follow you across items, baselines, reviews and test runs rather than applying to one page. Table view offers the Features section and export; graph view offers export only.
A related global option lives in the settings menu at the top of the left sidebar: Expanded text shows full item titles in every tree instead of truncating them.
Single item view
To work on one item without its neighbours, open its ... menu and choose Single item view, or click an item link from a mention, a trace or the parameters page. The page shows only that item, with the details sidebar open on the right and the breadcrumbs in the header to go back up the tree. Click Exit single item view above the item to return to the document view. The same view settings apply, without dividing lines.
